Romford threw away three points with Tilbury capitalising on two defensive errors.

Romford straight away took the game to The Dockers with Ryan Imbert and Abs Seymour both testing the keeper before Paul Clayton gave Romford the lead on four minutes. Abs Seymour swung in a corner that Jack Barry's flicked towards goal but was parried by the keeper before the Boro vice captain smashed the ball home from three yards. David Ottley, who was making his one hundredth game for the Boro sent in a free kick on seventeen minutes that Paul Clayton headed just wide but a minute later it was two when Paul Clayton grabbed his second goal of the game powerfully heading home Abs Seymour's corner. Abs Seymour fired just over on the half hour after a good run before the midfielder sent in another corner to Paul Clayton who nearly got his hat trick but his header was blocked on the line. Right on half time Abs Seymour got down the left wing and sent in a lovely cross that Jack Barry got on the end of but his downwards header went just wide.

Early in the second half Abs Seymour got in behind the defence but his shot was saved and on the rebound the hosts should have had a penalty when George Cocklin was fouled in the area but the referee waved play on. Out of the blue Tilbury got back in the game when a defensive mix up allowed Jack West to score after his first attempt was saved by Aaron Omand on sixty-eight minutes. Aaron Omand made a great save tipping a deep cross onto the bar three minutes later while at the other end Paul Clayton again got on the end of another Abs Seymour corner but headed the ball just over. With fifteen minutes left West once again scored after another defensive blunder while Reece Tranter forced a save after his half volley was heading into the corner for Romford. The visitors nearly snatched an unlikely win at the end but got Aaron Omand pulled off a fine save before the referee brought the game to and end.
