Became the first Boro player to be sent off on his debut, failing even to reach the interval. Didn't return for several weeks following his suspension but got a run in the side when Ben Turner was injured and held his place. Returned to the club after promotion to Ryman North in 2009/10 but injuries took their toll and retired to become a cab driver.
