Biography

Appearances 160 (League 97)
Goals 14 (league 7)
Player of the Year 1997-98

Right-sided player who joined from Metropolitan Police and was previously with Rainham Town. The first player for the present club to have been the son of an ex-Romford player. Left in 1998 but returned to manage the club in 2003 and had a fine first season in charge overall, with Boro leading the table for two months in the New Year and winning the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy, to continue his record of winning a trophy in every season with the Club. Came close to sustaining that the following season as Boro finished fifth for the third year running, but reached the Final of the Essex Thames-side Trophy, losing 1-0 away to Aveley. Endured a rather less successful 2005-06 season but stayed on to become the first Boro manager to commence a fourth season at the helm, and had possibly his best season yet with runners-up spot in the League and only losing the League Cup .
