Travel and ticketing arrangements for Saturday’s visit to Bury Town

After a blank weekend just gone, Romford are back in action this Saturday with a trip to Suffolk to face Bury Town. Later in the week there will be a full preview of the match, but for now, here are some details on how to get to the game, and admission details.

Travel Details:

By Coach:

For the first time this season, there will be a coach for this game.
The coach will depart from outside Howdens, King George Close, RM7 7PN at 11am and there will be a second pick up at Brentwood’s Holiday Inn (CM14 5ND) departing there shortly after 11.30am. Please note it is a 1hr 40min drive on a coach from Brentwood.

Prices are as follows:
Member £13 return, Non Members £15 return. On the day the price will be £17.50 return departing Bury at 6.15pm.

Places can be reserved by commenting on the unofficial fan’s forum on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/groups/1647318818840008/search/?q=joseph%20o%27sullivan

Cash payments will be taken on the day or payment can be made in advance, online. Please email romfordfc@aol.com for details of how to pay.

By Car:

Bury Town play at The Denny Bros Stadium, Cotton Lane, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The Post Code for your Sat Navs is IP33 1XP, and parking is in the Ram Meadow Public Car Park, which is Pay and Display, and costs £2.50 for up to 3 hours, or £3 all day. Journey time from Romford is approximately one hour forty minutes.

By Public Transport:

By public transport you'll need to take at least three trains, one from Romford, changing at Colchester (depending on which train you catch from Romford you may have to change at Shenfield first), and then at Ipswich to arrive at Bury St Edmunds Station, from where the ground is a fifteen minute walk. Just to make life more interesting, there will be no trains between Ipswich and Bury on 6th November. Replacement buses will add at least 30 mins to the journey, which is likely to take up to three hours.

Admission:

Admission prices are £10 for adults, £6 concessions and £2 for Under 16's. Cash only is accepted at the turnstile, but for those of you who prefer to go cashless, tickets can be purchased in advance through Bury Town’s ticketing website at https://burytownfc.ktckts.com/event/byt2122h06/bury-town-vs-romford

There is no facility for card payments at the turnstiles, so if not paying cash on the day, please purchase your tickets in advance and either print the ticket off at home. Alternatively, the barcode on the ticket can be scanned directly from your mobile device.
