In all there were 221 Extra-Preliminary Round ties over the weekend of which 107 resulted in home wins, 72 saw away wins and there were 42 draws. The biggest winners were Fairford Town, Cleethorpes Town, and Merstham who all won 7-0 beating Cirencester Town, Kimberley Miners Welfare, and Wick respectively. Twelve players scored hat-tricks or more; Oscar Massey of Falmouth Town netted four in his club’s 5-0 win over Torpoint Athletic while Sam Bantick scored three of Tilbury’s goals in their 5-1 win over Buckhurst Hill.

Saturday’s game at Eynesbury saw Boro recover a two goal half time deficit to draw 2-2 with Sheri Artmeladze netting both goals including one from the penalty spot. There was some conflicting information regarding the number of substitutes allowed in Saturday’s game so it’s worth clarifying with this extract from the Rules that confirms that teams can name up to 5 substitutes and that all 5 can be used at any time.

The winners of tomorrow’s tie will receive £1,125 from the prize fund and a place in the Preliminary Round where an away tie against Brightlingsea Regent – who beat Kempston Rovers on Saturday - awaits, while the losers will receive £375. If the scores are level at the end of 90 minutes tomorrow night, then an extra 30 minutes will be played after which there will be a penalty shoot-out if necessary.

Admission prices are slightly different from league games tomorrow. Adults will pay £8 which Concession prices are lower than usual at £3 and Under 16s pay £2. Season tickets are not valid for tomorrow’s game.
