This coming Saturday is Non-League Day, which has become an institution since it was started back in 2010 by James Doe as a way to celebrate all the good things about non-league football. You can check out the Non-League Day website at https://nonleagueday.co.uk/
NLD falls on the weekend of the Spring international break which now encompasses most of the Football League as well as the Premier League and regularly sees non-League clubs post gates that are among their best of the season.
Romford will face Frenford on this year’s Non-League Day and the club would love to see as many people as possible over at Mayesbrook Park for this important Essex Senior League game. Whether you’re a Boro fan who hasn’t been for a while, a supporter of a Premier League or Football League club who are not playing, or just curious about non-League football, why not come on over, and maybe bring a friend!
For supporters of Premier League teams, Boro are offering half-price admission to anyone showing their season ticket and with prices already affordable enough, that’s a real bargain.

The Essex Senior League is promoting Non-League Day with a staggered schedule of matches over the weekend with a choice of two games on Friday evening and fans can take in as many as three games on Saturday afternoon and evening.

The FA Vase will be on display at the games at Harwich & Parkeston, Halstead Town, and Hullbridge Sports on Saturday, but sadly not at Mayesbrook Park, so here’s a reminder of that glorious day in May 2024 when Boro got their hands on it for real!
