The club are pleased to announce that our management team for the coming season will be Dan Spinks as manager, Michael Hart as his assistant and Scott Doe as player coach.
Club chairman Steve Gardener said, “when Dan took the reins after Scouse moved on, we were all impressed by his passion, enthusiasm, and ability to get the most out of the players. He wasn’t afraid to bring in the youngsters, or try new tactics when needed. Our final 10 games or so of the season made it easy for us to ask Dan to take the role on for the season.
Michael Hart complemented Dan and his knowledge, desire, and working relationship with Dan makes him the ideal person to work alongside him.
We were very keen to retain Scott Doe as he has a wealth of experience, and the help and assistance he can give to the squad especially the younger players will be invaluable. Dan has spoken to Scott and we are thrilled that he has committed to the club again.
We know this will be an immensely popular decision with players and supporters alike, and look forward to an exciting season ahead"
Dan Spinks added "I would like to thank Steve & Colin and the board at the club, I am grateful for the opportunity they have given me to take over as manager at Romford FC, with such a long history I look forward to being a part of the journey ahead.
I sincerely appreciate their trust in me. Accepting the post was a no brainer, I came in towards the end of last season.
I thought it went well under the circumstances. The cup runs were fantastic & had a knock-on effect with our league form.
We finished the season top of the form table. We kept the bulk of the squad with a few new additions. This should stand us in good stead moving forward.
I am also pleased to say Mike Hart & Scott Doe have agreed to join me and be a part of my coaching Staff, they both bring wealth of knowledge in the game, alongside our physiotherapist Victoria Omadeli.
I thank them for their alliance, & assistance.
I look forward to working with them, & with the boys for a memorable season to be enjoyed by all at the club & most of all our supporters.
We hope to see you all soon.
Up The Boro!
Mike Hart statement
I would like to express my gratitude to Dan for inviting me to join the management team during the last 12 games of the previous season. During that time, we made significant progress, achieved good results, and successfully integrated both youth and experienced players into the team. This has provided us with a solid foundation to build upon.
Given these positive developments, I eagerly accepted Dan's invitation to continue for the current season. Our objective is to compete for promotion, and as the assistant manager, I firmly believe that with our talented squad and the style of play we plan to implement, we can accomplish this goal. Drawing from my past experiences playing non-league football, I aim to contribute all I can for this club and its ascent through the division and I hope the Boro faithful will join us on this journey.
Additionally, I would like to express my appreciation to Steve and Colin for warmly welcoming me to the club. With Dan's strong leadership as the manager and Scott Doe's invaluable experience on and off the pitch , I am confident that we can reciprocate their kindness by bringing success to the club.
Thanks Mike Hart
Scott Doe statement
Having been part of this club before in previous years I know what it means to everyone associated with the club especially the fans to see exciting football and to everyone giving there all on the pitch. I will very much still be playing this coming season and enjoy using my experience in the game to help everyone on and off the pitch.
With me playing of course I just wanted to say that Mike has been a great addition to the club helping Dan with the team and on the sidelines and all three of us will be looking to carry on the from where we left off last season and ultimately challenge at the top of end of the table.
Thanks once again for this opportunity and I look forward to seeing all the players board staff and of course the fans this coming season.
