"With all the talk and planning of Wembley we shouldn’t forget the importance, and aim of promotion. We need a point on Saturday to confirm second spot. We need everyone to come along and you can also buy merchandise from the club and supporters’ shop. Especially keen to sell scarves as we have bought 2,000. Only joking but I’m always impressed when you see Wembley supporters decked out in the club’s colours.

Feeling a little calmer now the Wembley checklist has got a couple of ticks on it. Have had a dressing room rider so feel a bit like a rock star. Although I doubt Foo Fighters are deliberating over mini pizzas and chicken goujons.

Wembley are making the experience professional; players and staff are well looked after regarding drinks, rehydration, food, and facilities. The warm up area Is bigger than some changing rooms we have been in. We are in the process of organising a club montage video to be shown on the day, and the players are deliberating over their walk out music.

We have booked a hotel for the players overnight just outside central London so the journey in will be relatively short on the Saturday.

We have spoken to sponsors, and some are joining us on the day. We very much hope Dave and Julie Howie will be joining us as which will be an honour for all of us who know what they put into the club. We know who the referees are, the team colours have been approved as no clash, goalkeepers kits are sorted; it’s all getting real.

Posters are being delivered to local schools and many companies and shops are now advertising the game.

The club have now sold 1,752 tickets. What a day out it will be. Final target is 2,000, so make sure you let everyone know!"
