Romford Football Club is aware of the statement issued by Soul Tower Hamlets FC regarding allegations of racist abuse during our recent Essex Senior League fixture.

We want to state clearly and unequivocally that Romford FC condemns racism and discrimination in all forms. There is no place for it in football or in society.

We take these allegations extremely seriously. The Club fully supports a thorough and transparent investigation by the appropriate authorities and will cooperate completely with the Essex Senior League and The FA to ensure that all facts are established.

While it would be inappropriate to comment further until the investigation is concluded, we believe in due process and fairness for all parties involved. If any individual connected to our club is found to have breached the game’s regulations or standards, we trust that the appropriate action will be taken.

Football must remain a game built on respect, integrity and inclusion. We remain committed to upholding those values and working constructively with fellow clubs to ensure that our sport is safe and welcoming for everyone.

Romford FC will make no further comment at this stage while the investigation is ongoing.
