Romford thoroughly deserved victory in a match they dominated thanks to goals from Jack Barry and Nick Reynolds. They twice went close early on with Nick Reynolds bursting through but having his shot blocked and Daniel Jones shooting straight at the keeper. Tom Richardson hit a swerving shot down the keeper's throat, before on fourteen minutes Nick Reynolds got clear but the keeper blocked his shot and the rebound was cleared upfield to Neil Richmond for Burnham but Aaron Omand saved well when one on one. On twenty-two minutes Romford won a free kick on the edge of the box that Joe Oates sent into the goalmouth. Nick Reynolds flicked it on and Jack Barry arriving late at the far post fired home to give Romford the lead. From then on in it was one way traffic and Matt Toms sent a half volley just wide on twenty-five minutes and Daniel Jones had a shot blocked on the line after a great run by Nick Reynolds down the right wing. Eddie Hart was unlucky not to double the Boro's lead in the last minutes of the half when he twice had efforts saved, a header from a cross and also when he shot too close to the keeper after good link up play with Nick Reynolds.
In the second half Romford were still creating chances and Tom Richardson sent in a great cross on fifty minutes after a fantastic run which was deflected towards goal but the Burnham keeper made a good save. Romford doubled their lead on fifty-two minutes when Joe Oates sent in another good free kick and Nick Reynolds rose highest in the six yard box and headed home. Tom Richardson burst through on sixty-two minutes but his shot was blocked and Abs Seymour had his shot saved ten minutes later after good link up play between Tom Richardson and Ryan Imbert. At the other end Aaron Omand made a fantastic save from a header on eighty minutes with Joe Oates and Tom Richardson both clearing the ball off the line late on to preserve Romford's lead. Substitute Lewis Francis and Daniel Jones both had chances to finish the game off but they both shot wide when one on one before the referee blew for full time.
