A three one victory ensured Romford held on to eighth place, their highest finishing position since their promotion to the Ryman Division One North.

The weather was the winner in the first half with rain, hailstones and a strong wind stopping both teams from playing the ball around and the game turned into a battle in the centre of the park. Lewis Francis had a half chance when he intercepted a poor pass but his first time effort went wide. Five minutes before half time a Lewis Frost shot was saved by Atu Ngoy and Sam Bantick fired wide for Brentwood.
The sun came out in the second half and so did the football with Romford piling on the pressure and George Woodward headed just over from Abs Seymour's free kick on forty-seven minutes. Romford earned a corner on forty-nine minutes that was sent in to the six yard box. Greg Cohen attempted to clear it but could only slice it towards goal and Reece Ottley produced a great save to keep the scores level. Abs Seymour got down the right wing on fifty-three minutes and sent a cross to the far post that was looping in but Ryan Doyle headed off the line and from the resulting corner George Woodward deflected Paul Clayton's shot against the bar. With the constant pressure Romford finally took the lead when an Abs Seymour free kick was only parried to top scorer Nick Reynolds who side footed home from six yards to score his sixteenth goal of the season.
With fifteen minutes remaining Romford hit the bar for the second time when Abs Seymour's corner clipped the top of the woodwork and bounced out to Paul Clayton who headed the ball back but unbelievably it hit the bar for a third time before George Woodward fired the rebound over. On eighty-three minutes the second goal finally came when Abs Seymour burst forward and released substitute Kurt Smith who cut in from the left and fired home via the underside of the bar. On ninety minutes Brentwood pulled a goal back with their first chance of the half as Ryan Doyle scrambled the ball home but Boro got a third with a fantastic breakaway goal when Abs Seymour and Kurt Smith tackled back on the edge of their own area, George Woodward hit the ball forward to Nick Reynolds who laid the ball off to Ben Jones who found Abs Seymour galloping outside of him and the energetic midfielder unselfishly passed back to Ben Jones to side foot home. That goal meant Romford ended up with a zero goal difference that was unthinkable when back in February it hit minus eighteen. Eighth spot was assured when the referee blew his whistle ending a fantastic season for Paul Martin, Mark Lord and the team.
