Paul Clayton scored a ninetieth minute winner on his three hundredth Romford appearance to mark a remarkable comeback for the Boro.

Harlow were the better team in the first half, dominating play and should have taken the lead on the quarter hour mark when Jordan Gill's cross found Piers Wixon unmarked two yards out, but the striker did not connect with the ball properly and it went wide of the goal.
A minute later and another cross from Harlow was fumbled by Atu Ngoy in goal for Romford and Hector Mackie's looping header landed just the wrong side of the goal. On nineteen minutes Joe O'Donoghue met a Harlow corner with a firm downward header that was well saved by Atu Ngoy.
Harlow finally opened the scoring their play deserved when Atu Ngoy saved a free kick and then blocked the Harlow follow up before the ball fell to Gary Bowes on the edge of the box who fired through a crowd of players and into the Boro goal.
Thomas Davie received a pass way out on the right wing and cut in before curling a superb shot into the top corner to put Harlow two goals up on twenty-five minutes.
On the half hour a Piers Wixon free kick looked like it was heading for the top corner but Atu Ngoy produced a top drawer save. Jeff Hammond had a chance to get Harlow's third on forty minutes but his shot was saved.
Just as the clock struck forty-five Tom Richardson picked the ball up and ran into the Harlow penalty area where he was brought down by Donny Barnard. The referee pointed to the spot and Hussein Isa blasted the ball home to give Romford fans a better half time than they thought they were going to have. In the second minute of injury time things got even better when after Tom Richardson was brought down, his clever short free kick found Hussein Isa who ran into the penalty box and crossed the ball. It was spilt by Bertrand Bossu in the Harlow goal before Nick Reynolds poked the ball home.

The second half was a more even affair with both teams sharing possession without really creating many chances.
Matt Toms climbed highest but could only head Hussein Isa's free kick over the bar just after half time and Piers Wixon blasted over the bar when he found some space in the penalty area for the hosts.
On the hour mark Ryan Imbert volleyed the ball just wide after he got on the end of Nick Reynolds' flick on and with fifteen minutes left Mackie had a good chance to score for the home team but his shot was deflected just over the bar.
As we headed into injury time Paul Clayton won the ball in the midfield and hit it out wide for Ryan Imbert to chase. The striker did well, beating Barnard before cutting in, taking the ball to the bye line and pulling it back to Nick Reynolds. His shot was blocked, but Lewis Francis crossed the ball back into the danger zone for Paul Clayton to head past Bossu and give Romford an unlikely win.
