Romford started attacking from the off and Tom Richardson's header was saved after Adam Salmon put in a good cross. Moments later Ware luckily survived a penalty scare when the ball bounced up and hit the defender's arm, but the referee turned down all the protests.
On eighteen minutes another good chance from Romford fell to Jack Barry but he could only head wide from the Hussein Isa corner. Ware then had their first real chance but Michael Gooch saved from Eliott King and Jack Barry blocked Reece Loundon's effort on the Boro goal line.
Romford still could not find the goal their play deserved and on twenty-eight minutes Alfie Hilton was denied by Rhys Madden in the Ware goal when he chased Hussein Isa's flick on and shot low.
The goal did finally come when on thirty-four minutes Tom Richardson toe poked the ball goalwards and Hussein Isa deflected the ball home. Two minutes later after winning the ball in midfield Paul Clayton played a neat one two with Hussein Isa, ran into the box on the left hand side and curled a delightful shot past Madden and into the Ware goal. On forty minutes it was game over when after finding space out wide Hussein Isa crossed perfectly for Nick Reynolds, who's powerful header found the bottom corner to put Boro in dreamland.
Romford got a fright when just after half time King broke through but Michael Gooch produced a great save. Ware did get a life line when Robbie Green hammered a cross that flew past Gooch and somehow found the Romford net on sixty eight minutes
Romford should have restored their three goal advantage but after great work by Nick Reynolds down the right wing Hussein Isa could only put the pull back over the bar.
King once again found space for Ware in the seventy-seventh minute but Michael Gooch thwarted the striker and Spencer Knight blazed the rebound high over the bar.
With five minutes to go Hussein Isa whipped in a free kick that just beat Paul Clayton and Jack Barry before bouncing inches wide. Deep into injury time Ware were reduced to ten men when Reece Loundon was shown a straight red for retaliating when fouled down the left wing.
