A goal a piece in stoppage time of this entertaining game gave Romford and Wroxham a share of the points and helped inch the Boro away from the relega

Wroxham play a quick passing , high tempo game and Aaron Omand had be alert to save low down on four minutes while up the other end Nick Reynolds could only shoot wide after showing a nice touch to bring the ball down. On seventeen minutes a diagonal ball forward found Callum Ibe in space on the left wing and after beating two men he tried to go round the keeper but was brought down. Loui Hazelwood stepped up to the spot and powerfully swept the ball into the top right hand corner for his fourth goal in four games. The same player then nearly got on the end of a Chris Barry through ball on twenty-six minutes, but was just unable to direct his shot on target before at the other end there was a big scare for the hosts when after good skill down the left wing the ball was dragged back to a Wroxham man free at the far post with with an open goal but he could not get enough power on his shot and the ball was cleared.

Once again players being unavailable had forced manager Paul Martin to change his defensive line up, but they had coped well during the first half with free scoring Christy Finch and the rest of the dangerous Wroxham attack. However early in the second half he again had to shuffle the pack when a nasty and quite bloody clash of heads caused a lengthy stoppage and the end of the game for a Wroxham man and Boro centre back Jamie Byrne, and then a little while later left back Chris Barry had to go off after a knock. With striker Nick Reynolds and influential midfielder Abs Seymour now in the back line Romford were finding it difficult to get forward as much as before but they held out until the 69th minute when Remy Gordon got on the end of a miss-hit shot and put the ball under Aaron Omand into the empty net. Romford were really under the cosh now and Wroxham missed two big chances, with the first headed over and the second striking the post. The onslaught at the back was relieved when Robbie Norris sent Tyrone Scarlett free and the substitute spotted the keeper in no mans land, but his chip spun agonisingly wide of the post on eighty-seven minutes before disaster struck as the visitor's Nathan Stone scored a simple tap in during the first of eight added minutes. Romford, not to be out done then showed their great fighting spirit by coming back and equalising almost immediately when a combination of Loui Hazelwood and Tyrone Scarlett set up Joe Scott to volley home from the edge of the box. There was still time for Daniel Jones to get on the end of Loui Hazelwood's pass and round the onrushing keeper but the angle was too tight and his shot went wide of the near post, while at the other end a nice pass split the Boro defence but Aaron Omand produced a great save to deny the forward when one on one. Wroxham did get the ball into the net in the final seconds but it was quickly ruled offside before the referee brought the match to an end after the dramatic finale leaving both camps thinking they should have won but could easily have lost.

So once again Romford showed that they can compete with the division's best teams and should be capable of pulling clear of danger in the closing weeks of the season.
