Boro Start Pre-season In Style

Romford began their pre-season programme with an emphatic 6-1 win over Harlow Town, who resigned from the Southern League in December 2022 and will play in the Thurlow Nunn First Division South in 2023-24.

On target for Boro were Morris (2), Shilling (2), Toheeb, and Lee Hursit.

Sonny Shilling, who scored twice against Romford for Buckhurst Hill in the game at Mayesbrook Park last season, was briefly with Boro back in the 2017-18 season, when he made one start and three appearances as a substitute.

Romford's starting XI was: Eman Olajide, Henry Hart, Junior Luke, Jacob Wiggins, Scott Doe, Freddie Tonden, Jaden Silcott-Brown, Kris Newby, Sonny Shilling, Harrison Georgiou, and Finlay Dorrell. Among the named substitutes were: Harry Norman, Lee Hursit, Harry Haralambous, and Charlie Morris.

Next up for Boro is the visit of last season's Essex Senior League Champions, Enfield FC to Mayesbrook Park on Wednesday 5th July, kick-off 7.45pm
