London Colney 2 (1) - (2) 2 ROMFORD At Cotlandswick‏

This was Romford's first ever visit to London Colney who last season finished 2nd in the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division.
It could not have started better for Boro with Joe Bricknell heading in a cross from the right in the first minute, but only eight minutes later the home team equalised with a long shot which went in off the crossbar. The lead was restored in the 38th minute when George Woodward's inswinging free kick from the right was headed home in a crowded area by debutant Shomari Barnwell.
It was an even second half with very few chances created by both sides but Romford conceded a 75th penalty to allow the hosts to equalise for the second time.
