Nick Reynolds set up the 6th minute opener for Robbie Norris followed by Chris Barry in the 43rd minute. Welwyn pulled one back two minutes after the break before Romford got into their stride and created a lot of chances. Two were converted, firstly in the 75th minute by Jordan Thomas after good work by Greg Akpele and in the 81st minute by Danny Cossington after a corner lead to a scramble in the box.
