In a further series of fast raids Billericay, after opening their tally in the second minute, had added two further goals on 10 and 17 minutes and looked as though they might rack up a large score on the evening.
However Boro fought back and had reduced the deficit to the half time score of 2-3 by the half hour firstly with a Nick Reynolds header from a good right wing cross on 26 minutes followed by an own goal which a ‘Ricay defender could only help into his own net after a home attack down the left and a first time left wing cross.
With the usual substitutions continuously taking place play was much more even throughout the second half with the difference being that when Romford attacked they were just not able to get the ball into their opponents net the Billericay added twice more to their score with the first on 53 minutes from a low shot through a crowded home defence from around 30 yards which crept in past an unsighted Elliott Anderson and a the second being a free header on 70 minutes by courtesy of a lucky rebound off the back of a home defender.
