Chairman Steve Gardener said this looked like being the most fiercely contested trials ever, with players from other Ryman clubs, conference, and ex academy players, all sending in their CV's.

Gardener stated that the club are still an attractive proposition forplayers especially those looking to make a name in football, and stated that manager Paul Martin was the main attraction.
Paul gets the best out of players, and manages to instill confidence, and a fierce pride, by playing football in the correct manner.
