The Boro's new season begins right here!

Over 30 players turned up last Saturday morning for the first official training session of the season at the London Fire Brigade Ground, Aveley.

However, from now on until further notice training will take place every Monday & Wednesday evenings 7-9 and Saturdays 12-2 at The Thames Rugby Club, Garron Lane, South Ockendon, Essex. RM15 5JQ while the Fire Brigade Ground (where our Reserves will play next season) has a major makeover.

To drive to the rugby ground from Mill Field take the B1335 from the roundabout at the top of Mill Road direction South Ockendon. Continue on this road until just over the M25 (from here on the left you can see the ground). Continue on and turn first left into Stifford Road which curves round to the right then left Garron Lane is on the left and you should look out for a rugby club sign on the right. The entrance into the ground is also signed through double gates and is where Garron Road does a right angle turn just before The Archers Pub.

By public transport you can catch the 370 bus Romford to South Ockendon and get off just after the Mardyke Valley Golf Course walk cross the road and walk along the Stifford Road B1335 for half a mile or so then just before the M25 bridge turn into the old Stifford Road on the right then Garron Road on the left. Or the 22 Ensign route Aveley to Grays and vice versa stops in Foyle Drive at its junction with Gatehope Drive which you walk up until The Archer Pub and turn left to the ground.

If you prefer to road read your way there just google Multi Maps and insert RM15 5JQ in the box provided or put the same post code into your satnave which will take you to just up past the Archers near the school up the other end of Garron Lane.
