The Boro away coach fund!

Just to bring the 2012/13 season’s away coach fund story to an end the club would like to thank all of you who donated as regularly as you could into the Boro Bucket the use of which was converted to the fund’s use during the course of the season.

The fund itself, of course, was greatly helped by the amount that accrued from the Boro old 1950’s programme auction which took place last last year and a generous personal donation from John Murphy. Our thanks in particular go to club members Alan Roe, Keith Preston, Brian Hill, Pete Herrington, Phil Redwin, Jim Hughes, John Ringrose and Dave Fletcher who participated to make winning bids for these and collectively helped to add over £500 to the fund.

The programmes themselves were kindly donated to the club by our matchday programme printers Kall Kwik of Victoria Road whose advert always appears in our programme too should you need these type of services and may give you a discount if you say you are from Romford FC.

There were around 80 programmes in total and they came from the possessions of the late Ray Pollock who seems to have been a supporter of the club around that time and some of you older folk may remember.

The fund will be operating again for season 2013/14 and will need even more money as it looks as though we will be adding a visit to Dereham in Norfolk to our travels at another £500 plus so please continue to dig deep with your cash in the bucket at home games or via the club’s www.borobonanza.com Paypal system specifying that your donation is for the away coach fund
.
Anyway that’s all for the moment and after a very successful players presentation evening I suppose that like me you are looking forward to next season with great anticipation both on the pitch and, hopefully, with some good news about our own new ground at Westlands.

UP THE BORO!
