The New Year starts here for Boro

Romford face another tough test today (Tuesday 6th) when they travel to Thamesmead who are currently 13th. The team could have a new look with recent departures Tom Richardson and Matt Toms at their new clubs.

Injuries to Jamie Dicks and James Ishmail, and Nathan Coopers work commitments will mean manager Paul Martin is forced into some changes, with possibly a change of playing style, but Paul is keeping his cards close to his chest.

What we can tell you is that Jack Barry is set to return to the team, and Paul Clayton could see his loan spell ended early with the Boro favourite returning to the squad, after some tough Essex Senior League games.

Romford had a tough Christmas including two games cancelled due to bad weather, and need to get some points on the board to hopefully kick start a strong second half to the season.

Although this will be a tough game Thamesmead themselves have not won until 16th December when they had a fantastic 3-2 win at home to Harlow Town.

With Barkingside, Redbridge and Cray Wanderers all in action tonight, Romford supporters will have one eye on their phones as well as the pitch.
