It's not always about the football

Some things are more important than football.

Of course we all know this, which is why Romford manager Paul Martin felt compelled to get in touch with the family of Joni-Mai, a local girl of 8 who is bravely battling bone cancer.
Her family are trying to raise £150,000 to get specialised treatment abroad, and Paul wanted to know if there was anything the club could do to help.
The players have all bought T shirts to support the cause, and we hope with the agreement of the Ryman league we can wear these as warm up tops for our next home game against Soham.
We have also agreed that all profits from the gate against Soham should go towards the fund to try and get Joni-Mai treatment.
We hope supporters will try and invite friends, family, and neighbours to the game, in the hope we can raise a large amount for this brave local girl.
Please also spread the word on social media. Romford supporters have always been generous, and I know we will do our best to raise as much as possible against Soham Town.
