We are still looking for a filmmaker to film as many Romford FC and Thurrock FC home games as possible this season

The main purpose for the filming is to use it for post analysis for training purposes but its availability will also be useful if the club is officially questioning a decision made by the referee which involves disciplinary action against one of the home players. Edited highlights of filmed matches can also be put on You Tube and added to our website by its author and chosen samples can be added to his/her CV if required.

All home games are played at at the stadium of Thurrock FC which is in Ship Lane, Aveley RM19 1YN and which is just the other side of the M25 from the Lakeside Shopping Centre. Saturday games kick off at 3pm and midweek home games when they take place will be on Tuesdays for Thurrock and Wednesdays for Romford with a 7.45pm kick off time. There may be occasional Friday evening games kick off 7.45 and the few Sunday games when played will normally kick off at 3pm.

We are looking for someone who is keen to develop their filming skills in a post which will possibly suit a student who is in the middle of or has finished their college course and who may or may not yet be in full time employment or alternatively a keen amateur who wants to expand their filming activities.

There is a filming gantry at Ship Lane but it currently is not completed and has no power source. It is possible to film from the back of the main stand which has almost 100% visibility over the pitch and which has a power source if required.

Our film maker will be supplied with suitable equipment and should be available for as many home games as possible. Football is an all weather sport and this is an all weather job. An expenses fee will be paid for each visit and free refreshments will be provided at half time and full at time.

Interested persons are invited to contact Barry Morgan in the first instance and ask any initial questions. Barry can be contacted on either 07847 157686 or barrym277@btinternet.com.
