Following Saturday’s Isuzu FA Vase Semi-Final Second Leg, we now know who our opponents will be in the Final, and in only the fourth ever between two teams from the same league, we will be facing our friends and Essex Senior League rivals, Great Wakering Rovers, whom we have played 41 times over the years, and three times already this season.

Since Boro reached the Final in that epic penalty shoot-out against Lincoln United, the club has received many requests for information, and because we’ve not been in this situation before, we don’t have all the answers yet, but here’s some information about tickets and travel.

More information will appear here and on social media as we become aware of it during the build up to the big day on Saturday 11th May.

Although Boro haven’t been to Wembley since 1949 – and a lot has changed since then! – many supporters will probably have been there for other events, including previous Non-League Finals Day, but whether you have or have not been there in recent years, it’s worth having a look at the Wembley Stadium website at https://www.wembleystadium.com/ for information about disabled travel and access, bag policy, etc.

Travel:

Coaches will be organised for the trip to Wembley. The plan is to leave Rookery Hill sharp at 08.15 and Romford at 09.00. These are provisional times as kick-off time hasn’t been announced, although this is likely to be 12.30pm. Final times will be announced once known. Coaches will leave after the conclusion of the Vase Final and will NOT stay for the FA Trophy Final which takes place after Boro’s game.
