Alan Roe telephoned in a bid of £50 on the stroke of 3pm on Christmas Eve to be winner of the special auction outlined in our previous news item.
Sadly neither Alan nor his son Dave will be able to attend and so they have decided that the best possible person to represent them at Rookery Hill has to be our Boro man of many talents Keith Preston.
Keith who has just turned 60 is our programme editor, match reporter and kitman as well as filling in elsewhere without any question when asked.
Personally I can't think of a person who deserves this unique almost once in a lifetime opportunity more!
