The popular first team management squad of Paul Martin and Mark Lord with fitness & skills coaches Steve Bryce and Ashley Marsh will continue as last season. Neil Finn will combine his goalkeeping duties with that of goalkeeping coach and team physio Peter Shepherd will happily be with us once more.
Boro’s reserve side players will, for next season, link up with first team landlords Aveley in a combined Capital League side playing as Aveley FC. This squad will be run by last seasons successful EOL reserve team manager Chris Auger.
There will be three Romford youth teams playing in the Eastern Junior Alliance during 2010/11. The under 18s will be run by last season’s Under 16 management team of Alan and Alex Goldstone, the Under 16s will be run by newcomer Joe Canos assisted by Ian Baker while a new first time Boro Under 15 side will be under the control of Steve Killey assisted by Soloman Sargeant and coach Mike Weatherall.
Romford’s Academy will be running two teams for 2010/11 in conjunction with Havering College under senior coach Paul Tighe with the assistance of Mark Phillips. The academy first team will again play in the Football Conference Youth Alliance while their reserves will compete in the Essex Schools League.
Main trials (except for the Academy) will commence on June 22nd at a venue to be announced but as previously mentioned the new Under 15s will be holding preliminary trials on Sunday June 6th in Parsloes Park, Dagenham 10-2 & 3-6.
