This Saturday sees the opening game of the BetVictor Isthmian North division when we take on a Canvey Island, who surely will be on the favourites to attain a top 5 finish. Romford have a habit of finishing the season strongly, and last season we started well. Paul Martin has asked his squad for consistency this season, and with league games against Canvey, Basildon, and Aveley, with a very difficult away trip to Harwich in between, he knows the players will need to hit the ground running to ensure a good start.

Only 2 players of the first team squad are doubtful, with another on holiday (when will they learn!) there will be 18 players vying for that starting 11.

When we caught up with Paul this week he was hoping to sign another two players in time for Saturday. If that happens competition will be fierce.

As we are at Brentwood now we want supporters who read this but do not come to games, to come along and support your team. Encourage friends to come along, introduce new people to the game, lets grow our crowds like we did last season.

We will be remembering Craig Thomas a Boro favourite who sadly passed away a couple of weeks ago, and will also be holding a charity collection as well.
