Mick Woods takes up a challenge

Project 10 - Walking To Tilbury
Access to a defibrillator significantly increases the chances of survival for someone who has suffered a heart attack or other cardiac event.
While many clubs have their own defibrillator, Romford FC currently do not and one of the objectives of Project 10 is to raise funds to purchase one. My aim is to raise as much money as possible towards those costs, which including a training course will be in the region of £1,000.
So I'm asking if you will sponsor me to walk to our away game at Tilbury FC on Saturday 7th November 2015. I'll be starting at the site of our proposed new home at Westlands in London Road to walk to Chadfields, about 15½ miles, setting off between 8 am and 8.30 am. With a bit of luck I'll reach Tilbury between 1.30 pm and 2 pm. I will live Tweet my progress and you can follow me at @mikewcdx ‪#‎WalkingToTilbury‬
If you would like to sponsor me, you can do so by going to:

If you prefer good old cash or cheques, I'll be happy to take either from you at any game, home or away. Alternatively, Colin Ewenson or Steve Gardener will be happy to collect your contribution. Cheques payable to Romford Football Club Limited please.
Whether you are able to give a little, or a lot, every pound will help towards buying a truly vital piece of equipment.
