Both sides end with a point but feel they could have all 3

Romford visited Ram Meadow for the first game of the new Boston Season. Ram Meadow was recently voted most popular away ground in the division, and its easy to see why. Clean compact, and with 318 people inside, it was what non league is all about.

Bury put Romford under pressure in the first half but the best chance fell to Romford, so non nil at the break, and the old catchphrase of "I'll take a point " was already being mentioned.

It could have been one nil to Bury but a great save by Michael Gooch kept it at 0 0 . In the second half Romford soaked up all the Bury pressure who couldn't find a way through, but it was Boro who went ahead when Nzenga smashed in a dropping ball giving the keeper no chance. Bury pressed higher and were rewarded an equaliser when ramadan scored with minutes to go.
Bury will feel they didn't get just reward for their pressure, while Romford rue an offside that was at best harsh (from where I was, and in my opinion), and caused one of those what if moments.

On reflection a fair result, and on todays performance we will be a match for most sides, as I expect this Bury side to finish around the play offs this season.

Next up home to Heybridge Swifts on Wednesday. remember the visit there last season ?
