UPDATE ON THE BORO GROUND FUND

Dear Fellow Boro Supporters,

Your regular and generous donations of cheques, cash and loose change helped to make a big dent in the fees we had to pay to accompany our presentation for an application to build our own sporting complex at Lower Bedfords Road, Harold Hill. Between the middle of October 2004 and the end of July 2005 you contributed a magnificent sum of £5,480 which, as you can work out, was almost 50% towards the total fee requirement of £11,500.

You will know that this application is ongoing through your Chairman’s report on the website, in a recent home programme and on the back page of the Romford Recorder the other week.

Your club is extremely grateful for the way you continued to respond to helping to reimburse those generous supporters who provided the balance of the above fee by dropping your regular donations of notes and loose change into the 'Boro Bucket'. In this way you added a further £391.49 to the fund during the 2005/6 season.

We are pleased to be able to tell you that It has been decided to keep the bucket going but to change the use to which your donations are put. As you know, this club always works on a financial shoestring and it has therefore been decided that the contents of the ‘Boro Bucket’ will, from the 2006-7 season onwards, be put towards our home game expenses such as match day officials’ fees.

We hope that you will continue to put your loose change towards these ongoing costs.

Thank you for your continuing support and ‘Up the Boro’.

Mick Woods and Barry Morgan.

We will always be happy to receive larger donations and these can be given to Mick or Barry at the Boro home or away games (receipts will be issued) or send your cheques made out to 'Romford Football Club' to Barry Morgan, 'Kelsale' Colchester Road, Harold Park, Essex RM3 0AN.
